Due to the current situation in Burma ( Myanmar), the University will be organizing a 10 minutes moment of silence. This is where we can send our thoughts of goodwill and spiritual support to those affected and in need of aid. This silent vigil will be held at:
Venue: South Lawn, the University of Melbourne
Date: 16th of May 2008
Time: from 1p.m. onwards
On their behalf, MUBSS will be collecting donations, which will then be handed to World Vision.
The donations can be made this Friday. Alternatively, you could also make the monetary contributions via attending our weekly meditation sessions should you not be able to attend the vigil on Friday.
The meditation sessions are held at:
Venue: Leigh Scott Room, 1st floor, Baillieu Library
Date: 13 to 14 May 2008
Time: 1-2pm, after 2 if you could not make it for the session
In addition , the open meditation session on this Thursday will be held in memory of the cyclone victims in Burma.

Event: “Group Healing Meditation for Burma”
Venue: Leigh Scott Room, 1st floor, Baillieu Library
Date: Thursday, 15th of May 2008
Time: 1.00pm – 2.00pm

This Thursday’s meditation session will be focusing on radiating loving kindness (metta).
Donations would be sincerely appreciated. All the proceeds will be handed to World Vision.
